Mobile Lifting Lunar Lamp (Pneumatic Rod)
This unit will provide a rapid means of deploying a High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) or LED Lunar Lamp on a compact wheeled type of frame by a single operator. Designed with consideration for rapid construction site inspections, emergency roadway maintenance, and large outdoor special event venues, this unit is also designed with a durable pneumatic type of mast so that there is no heavy lifting required; it can be deployed and raised in a matter of seconds (up to 6 meters).
The Pneumatic Lunar Lighting Tower offers 360° illumination in a spherical pattern, and it also provides optional remote pan/tilt control for broad, shadow-free coverage. The integrated cart design creates a single, lightweight assembly (just 85 kg!) that unifies the generator, mast and fixture into one piece, so they are easy to transport to provide temporary illumination at work sites.

Portable Pneumatic Light Tower – Key Engineering Highlights
| Design Feature | Technical Execution | Field Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Instant Pneumatic Lift | Aluminium alloy mast activated by air pressure for smooth vertical extension up to 4.5 m or 6 m without manual cranking. | Single-operator setup in under one minute. |
| 360° Lunar Globe Illumination | Single high-output gas discharge (1000 W) or LED (200 W–300 W) lamp housed in an IP65-rated spherical diffuser to minimize harsh shadows. | Exceptionally even, wide-area light distribution for roadwork and perimeters. |
| Compact Cart Mobility | Carbon steel frame fitted with two directional and two universal wheels; whole unit nests within 2300 × 620 × 830 mm for easy storage. | Moves through narrow site access gates and doorways. |
| Flexible Generator Power | Choice of gasoline or diesel open/silent generators from 2000 W to 5000 W with AC220V or AC380V output. | Matches available fuel logistics on any job site. |

Tailored Pneumatic Lunar Lamp Configurations
With our customizable manufacturing program, you can choose from various combinations of lamp technologies, generators, and controls. We build every portable mobile light tower to meet your specifications and work within the operating environment you will use them in, whether you require the broad warm light output of a gas discharge type fixture or an instant restart capability of an LED type fixture.
How to Select Your Pneumatic Lunar Light Tower
Three key decisions to match the right portable unit to your worksite.
Lamp Type – Gas Discharge vs. LED
Gas discharge lighting tubes install very usable (Warm) high (Cri) quality lighting to inspect fine details within the inspected item. Led versions will run much longer, consume less fuel from generators, and are better used continuously overnight than other lighting methods.
Mast Height & Pneumatic Advantage
Standard road and small compound lights are best fit by using a 4.5 m tall mast. It is recommended to use 6 m rods in larger perimeters. The pneumatic system needs only a very small compressed air output (a little its round), unallowably lowering your physical effort compared to avg. manual hoists or towers.
Generator Selection
The generator output should equal the total wattage of the lamps plus any additional wattage required to operate auxiliary tools; therefore a generator with an output of 2000W should allow a sufficient amount of reserve power to run one 300W LED concrete overlay and maintain a comfortable working temperature. In most cases, when working in an urban area, the generator will be set up to run with an electric start and a soundproof enclosure. For projects located in rural areas, a manual recoil starter will be used on the generator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What type of air supply is needed for the pneumatic mast?
A: The mast operates on standard compressed air from a small portable compressor or site air line. It requires minimal pressure to raise the aluminium sections, and a simple release valve lowers the lamp safely back to transport position.
Q: Can the lunar lamp be tilted or aimed after it is raised?
A: When ordered with the optional pan-tilt unit, the lamp head can be adjusted remotely via handheld controller. Without this option, the lamp is fixed in a vertical orientation for full 360° spherical illumination.
Q: Is this portable lighting unit suitable for highway towing?
A: No. This specific pneumatic mobile light tower is a wheeled cart designed for manual pushing across level ground and is not rated for road towing. For highway-towable models, please refer to our trailer-mounted hybrid light tower series.
Q: What maintenance does the pneumatic mast require?
A: The aluminium alloy mast requires only periodic cleaning of the telescopic sections and lubrication of sealing O-rings. There are no cables or winches to service, keeping long-term maintenance costs very low.
