Cart-Type Hydraulic Lifting Mobile Lighting Tower

1. Hydraulic mast, sturdy and durable
2. Cart design, very convenient for movement
3. Optional gasoline or diesel generator
4. Optional remote control
5. Optional electric assist for easier pushing

Cart-Type Hydraulic Lifting Mobile Lighting Tower

This strong mobile lighting tower is cart mounted and has a completely hydraulic mast system. This means it can raise its four high-power LED, gas/halogen discharge or halogen lights up to 7 m in height. Built specifically for large construction sites, industrial maintenance, and event logistics, this hydraulic lift does away with the need for cranking by hand; by either pumping a couple pumps or using an electric power pack, you can have your light array at its full height from the transport position in no time.

The hydraulic cart light tower features welded steel frame construction, manual stabilizer legs, rainproof canopy, and can be either carbon steel or stainless steel finished. The light tower is capable of creating quality light in all weather conditions. There is an optional explosion‑proof fixture rating which makes it safe to use in petrochemical plants and confined spaces where the safety of the product must meet the highest level of compliance.

Buyer’s Guide

Choosing Your Hydraulic Cart Lighting System

Three key parameters to define before ordering your cart‑type light tower.

01

Lamp Technology & Quantity

LED lighting uses less energy and has a longer life than other types of lamps, so it is ideal for continuous lighting. Gas-discharge lamps produce a warmer colour temperature which is preferable for doing detailed inspections. Halogen tungsten lamps are a good value for short-duration applications. Use 2- lamp fixtures to provide concentrated lighting only and 4-lamp fixtures to provide lighting over a larger area.

02

Mast Height & Material

4.5m, 6m and 7 m high masts are available to illuminate large buildings, compounds and to clear a majority of construction equipment and temporary structures. If the installation of an illuminated outdoor sign is to occur in coastal areas or in aggressive chemical environments, an SS304 stainless steel option should be selected; however, when the installation will occur inland and in more general type locations, a carbon steel pole that is powder coated is also available.

03

Generator & Mobility Options

When calculating the total power needed for a generator, you’ll want to take into account both the wattage of all lamps and add 20% (totaling 20% more) for overhead. A 3000 watt generator has no problems powering four 400 watt LED lamps. Consider adding an extended fuel tank so that your unit can run for a full night. If you need to move your unit often and are moving across large distances, the electric assist will greatly reduce operator fatigue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the hydraulic lifting system work?

A: A hydraulic hand pump or an optional electric power pack can be used to raise the mast; to lower the mast, there is a release valve that allows for controlled lowering. The system is self-locking at all heights, eliminating the need for mechanical pins or latches.

Q: Can this cart‑type light tower be used in explosive atmospheres?

A: Yes, the explosion-proof luminaire options can be used in Zone 1 or Zone 2 Hazardous Locations, so long as they’ve been (ordered with) explosion-proof lights /media/en/products/explosion-proof-light-fixtures. Please indicate what Certification Standard you will require upon order (ATEX, IECEx).

Q: What is the difference between this cart model and a trailer light tower?

A: This hydraulic mobile lighting tower has a compact pushcart base for repositioning manually; it’s not for towing on public highways. For lighting towers that can be towed at highway speeds, or that are larger than this product line, please review our range of diesel or hybrid light towers that will require a trailer.

Q: Is assembly required upon delivery?

A: The entire tower is pre-assembled at the manufacturer, has undergone factory testing, and is ready for use. Prior to using it for the first time, you need to attach the stabilizing outriggers (which may have been packaged separately for shipping efficiency) and connect the fuel line from your generator. Complete instructions for set-up will be included.
