Cart-Type Mobile Lighting Tower (Smart Version)

The automated mobile light tower is efficient in its operation, automated in its control and easy to set up, making it very useful for trying conditions. This is because there is a touch panel for controlling the light, diagnostics available through self-check, and broadcast capability via Bluetooth from anywhere in the vicinity. The light tower is no longer viewed as an utility but rather as a well-designed tool that supports the effective and efficient management of worksites. The light is raised quickly and silently to heights using the winch, jogger, pneumatic or hydraulic mast by simply pressing a button. Therefore there is no longer the need to rely on human muscle to do the lifting of light fixtures . The electric winch for operating the equipment is very efficient at raising the light units with minimal labour required.

The light tower is fitted with support for up to four LED (IP65) lights, gas titled discharge light fixtures and/or halogen type light fixtures; also a motorised pan and tilt unit allows the tower to rotate on 360 degrees and tilt up to 330 degrees. The remote targeting of lights from above allows operators to aim the lights from the ground level. Other features include an explosion proof option, an additional capacity fuel tank; and an electric assist drive; this means that the light tower is suitable for use in petroleum & chemical zone exploration; or large industrial infrastructure projects that require safety & high precision performance.

Buyer’s Guide

Configuring Your Smart Light Tower

Three strategic choices to maximise the return on your intelligent lighting investment.

01

Mast Automation Level

models of Electric winches have an ideal price/performance for a given job on most construction sites. For rapid and smoothest lifting cycles between moves of a tower, hydraulic winches should be used. When compressed air source(s) are present at the site, pneumatic mast(s) are the best choice of mast for electric lift applications.

02

Control Interface & Intelligence

A rotational switch panel is easy to use for routine tasks, while the touch screen has self-diagnostic capability, reporting on runtime, and displaying fault codes – very helpful for a fleet manager with multiple machines. Consider adding Bluetooth for voice-announcement from the tower, should it also be utilized as an announcement system at the site.

03

Pan‑Tilt & Remote Control

In order to light up different areas of work throughout a shift, order the heavy-duty pan-tilt with remote controls. It will allow the lamp to be re-aimed in seconds, without having to lower the mast. Electric assist drive will make it easy to re-position the entire tower without any physical effort on the part of the operator.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this lighting tower “smart”?

Advanced Features: Features include electric or hydraulic lift operation (fully functional), an optional touchscreen remote control panel with self-diagnostics, remote pan/tilt aiming with a handheld device and/or mobile app, and other features, including Bluetooth-enabled speakers (‘broadcast’ to external devices), emergency battery charging ports and more.

Can the mast be raised without a generator running?

AnaWhy electric juggernauts require an electrical outlet or generator for operation. Pneumatic juggernauts require a source of compressed air while hydraulic juggernauts can be used manually as back-up solutions.Talk to Your Company’s Power Representative Before You Choose A Lift Solution For Your Project Printed Page 1 of 2.

Is the pan‑tilt unit compatible with all lamp types?

The lightweight and heavy duty pan-tilt units can support any combination of LED, gas discharge or halogen fixtures as long as they meet the specified weight limit. Use the heavy duty version for configurations with four lamps or larger 1000 W lights.

What does the self‑check system monitor?

An optional self-check system constantly checks for generator voltage, light bulb condition, mast location sensors, total accumulated run time. The system provides alert messages on the touch display, and can be set up to transmit fault codes back to a central fleet management system to reduce the number of unplanned breakdowns.
