Three critical parameters that determine how well the cabin will serve your operational needs.

UPS Capacity Planning

Determine the total watts for all devices you’re going to run at the same time, including lights, large screens, comms, and medical devices, and add 30% of that total for safety. A 30kVA UPS is typically enough to cover your lighting, your screen, your laptops, and small medical devices in a field office. Use a 50kVA or 60kVA for imaging equipment or multiple HVAC units.

Terrain & Mobility Requirements

For short distance repositioning manually, the common configuration of 4 wheels with 2 swivel and 2 fixed will work on paved and hard surfaces. If the cabin is used on sloped or uneven terrain, a self-leveling system with electric or hydraulic legs is highly recommended to ensure that the cabin and screen remain level during meetings and/or presentations.

Communication & Monitoring Payload

If a central command post is to track the cabin, choose a 4G positioning module. For public address purposes, a Bluetooth voice broadcast capability should be incorporated. The use of CCTV monitoring with the integrated LED screen allows staff to see in real-time outside the camp or while on-site for safety and security-sensitive applications as well as to monitor all perimeters of a remote camp.

Both battery runtime for an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and its load depend on the capacities of both the battery and the connected load.

So, how long will a UPS run for? A typical runtime of a UPS can be calculated:

Battery bank size divided by connected load size will equal approximate runtime hours.

Steel frame field office powered by a 30kVA UPS and equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery bank will allow for a maximum storage capacity of 15kWh. Providing power for 4 – 6 hours depending on loads (LED monitors, laptops, lighting, etc.) with the auxiliary generator connected to the UPS becomes an option for indefinite power availability with automatic switching during discharge of the battery.

Is the tent suitable for extreme weather conditions?

This integrated tent has been designed to withstand the wind and rain at outdoor events and for field deployment. As a result, it provides a safe, sheltered area during monsoon season and has ground anchoring hardware that allows it to be used in high wind environments. Can the LED screen be used for video conferencing?

Yes! The standard HDMI and VGA inputs of the LED display, as well as its 4G location module and optional CCTV cameras, allow it to work with laptops, satellite communication systems, and video conferencing equipment. The LED display can be used for both presentations and security monitoring, using the CCTV cameras.

How is the cabin transported between sites?

A standard flatbed truck or trailer can transport the cabin easily due to its self-loading feature. After arriving at the destination, the cabin’s electric or hydraulic legs will raise the cabin; the truck will then leave, and the cabin will descend to the ground, all using a single operator’s remote control. The whole process does not require the use of cranes or forklifts for either deployment or recovery.
